Permanent Health and Humanitarian Programme of the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic
MEDEVAC Programme focuses on providing medical care to vulnerable populations in crisis areas around the world.

MEDEVAC Programme
MEDEVAC is a permanent medical humanitarian programme of the Czech Republic, which has been focusing on providing medical care to vulnerable population groups in regions affected by migration, burdened with a large number of refugees, or in places where specialized medical care is not readily available since 1993. Treatment is provided free of charge and exclusively to civilians who are in a serious health condition or whose health condition does not allow them to lead a dignified life. The MEDEVAC Programme focuses on patients with the type of illness that does not require intensive treatment over the course of several years but involves individuals for whom treatment in the Czech Republic or abroad would mean a significant change in their health condition (life-saving or a substantial improvement in the quality of life).
