AID IN PLACE PROGRAMME

We support projects abroad
to assist refugees.

The Aid in Place Programme (full name The Programme of the Ministry of the Interior for the Assistance to Refugees in Regions of Origin and Prevention of Large Migration Flows) was founded in 2015 in reaction to the war in Syria and the subsequent migration wave.

Since 2015 the programme has been focusing on three priority regions – the Middle East, North Africa and the Sahel region and the Western Balkans. In addition to the bilateral cooperation, the Ministry of the Interior also seeks to implement projects in these regions in collaboration with other EU Member States in order to increase the impact of its interventions.
